Kevin and Ann Marie approached us to put a row of windbreaks through their avocado orchard in order to prevent fruit loss and protect against cold SW winds. Their goal: to improve pollination and production. After meeting with Kevin and Ann Marie and discussing their needs, we came up with a solution that encompassed both the functionality of the structure, and the need for it to be convenient to work around once in place.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Kevin and Ann Marie approached us to put a row of windbreaks through their avocado orchard in order to prevent fruit loss and protect against cold SW winds. Their goal: to improve pollination and production. After meeting with Kevin and Ann Marie and discussing their needs, we came up with a windbreak solution that encompassed both the functionality of the windbreak structure, and the need for it to be convenient to work around once in place.
WINDSHADOW DELIVERY:
Due to the extended 9.3m height of the windbreak, and the fact that the exposed site is regularly buffeted by winds well in excess of 100km/h, we personally selected the poles from our supplier to ensure their quality and strength. We also put in place additional 7.5mm cables at various heights along the windbreak to provide the longevity and structural integrity needed to give Kevin and Ann Marie the peace of mind they were after. All of this was constructed to the highest standard by our own experienced and professional team of windbreak installers.
